Working on compiling this collection, the author set himself the following tasks. Show the victory of the representatives of the Soviet chess school. Try to reveal the reasons underlying the victories of Soviet chess players in international competitions. Analyze the creative material that the games of the tournament contained. To acquaint Soviet chess players with the games of the tournament, most of which have not yet been published. Try to provide educational material in the process of commenting on games. The notes provide some tips on the middle- and endgames.
The author considered himself obliged to share with the readers his impressions of the tournament, Venice and Italy itself.
